Automotive History- GM Designer Retires After 44 years.
NPR covered an automotive story yesterday worth sharing. Ed Welburn, Vice President of General Motors Global Design retired after 44 years. When he was 8, his parents took him to the Philadelphia Auto Show where he saw the 1959 Cadillac Cyclone concept and it would change his life forever. During college he did a 10 week internship at GM's sculpture studio. Those 10 weeks turned into a career that would last 44 years. His contribution to the automotive world is everywhere on our roads to see.
