Parking Lot Lurking-Monterey Grand Prix Edition

Parking Lot Lurking-Monterey Grand Prix Edition

A few days ago we shared our report of the main event of the Monterey Grand Prix.  At most motorsport events you will find us spending some time stalking the dusty parking lots surrounding the main racetrack.  At every race weekend around a racetrack are a vast group of road going cars parked in the general parking area or in one the numerous manufacturer specific car corrals that could rival any cars & coffee event in Your City USA.  Laguna Seca with its rolling hills around the track and flat lake section provide ample space for car clubs and manufactures to invite owners and brand loyalist to park with likeminded individuals.  In what we hope will become an ongoing series we are presenting our corral finds from the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Its not only what you see, but also who you might see.  While stalking the Corvette Corral we spotted Corvette driver Jan Magnussen acting as a judge in some kind of corral contest.

Jan Magnussen will be the judge of that.
