2017 Funny Car Fever Nostalgia Reunion
Last year we attended our first drag racing event, and at that point, we got hooked. Imagine our surprise when we discovered that, in our own backyard, Sacramento Raceway Park was hosting the Funny Car Fever Nostalgia Reunion, part of NHRA's Hot Rod Heritage Series.
It was about as good as you could get for $20. This event was grassroots motorsport at its finest, featuring all sizes of teams and technical operations. From the wanna-be pros with big haulers and comfortable motorhomes to the barebones operation made up of a car, lawn chairs and a tool box. It was an event that didn't pretend. Its straightforward and in your face, with a simple premise, go out and race and have fun doing it.
Admittedly, attending this race was more pleasure than business, we don't have a lengthy write-up on it. Instead, we've prepared an album for your viewing pleasure.
