Ever had too much Porsche? Seems like a ludicrous question, we know. We’ve bathed in the Porsche waters many times including two trips to the Rennsport Reunion, a spectacle that no other brand could pull off. This year we decided to add another event in our Car Week calendar. A trip to the Werks Reunion was just what we needed to feed our Porsche addiction.
The Porsche Club of America’s Werks Reunion began in 2014 and this year’s event was expanded to a record 650 registered Porsches. Held at the Corral de Tierra Country Club (“free admission” and $20 for parking) gets you an endless field of Porsches spanning decades and generations. It was almost overload…actually it was complete overload. There is a reason why many of our regular readers and friends have always recommended this event. It doesn’t exist alone. Just down the road is Legends of the Autobahn (A fine show that we ran out of time to attend). On the other side of the hill is the Quail. Within a few miles in all directions are stunning shows and displays, but the Werks Reunion delivered. Unfortunately, we arrived a bit late because of other commitments, and some of the cars had packed up and headed to other local events. That said, there were more than enough cars left on the greens to keep us more than busy.
As we missed a good chunk of the event, we don’t have much more to report. Please check out the gallery below to see what Werks had to offer.
