In 2012 he reentered competitive drifting to compete professionally in Formula Drift. In 2019 Faruk appeared on Netflix show Hyperdrive. Sonoma Drift occurs on Wednesday nights and runs in conjunction with Wednesday Night Drag starting at 4 pm. Sonoma drift involves multiple different drifting layouts from the simple donut pad, aka drift box to the more complex and technical specially designed course in the Sonoma Raceway paddock. Competitors range from amateur to professional and everything in between. It is not uncommon to see a vast majority of competitors drive in and drive home in the car they used for drifting.
The cost to drift is $50 if pre-registered or $60 at the gate. Spectators are only $15. Sonoma Drift starts its 2022 season in March. For more details: Drift | Experiences | Sonoma Raceway
