The hills are about to come alive with the sound of horsepower. IMSA continues its long run of stops (since 1999) at the iconic WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on May 10-12 with the highly anticipated return of the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar series for its stop at the legendary raceway with the MOTUL Course de Monterey Powered by Hyundai. It's the fourth event on the IMSA calendar this year and will feature 34 cars, divided into three classes.

It's an opportunity for race fans to witness the premier sports car racing series in person in an inviting atmosphere where fans have access to the paddock to get up close to pinnacles of automotive racing technology from Porsche, Acura, BMW, and Cadillac.

This year, the teams and drivers will face an unknown at Laguna Seca. The track has been resurfaced which will present drivers with increased grip and potentially higher corner speeds, but yet unknown is how the new track surface may impact race strategy.

What is known, is that an IMSA weekend at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca never disappoints as each year fans witness some of the best on-track action of any event on the IMSA calendar.

Classes and Contenders:

Grand Touring Prototype (GTP)

The GTP class features cutting-edge prototypes that push the boundaries of speed and technology. Keep an eye on seasoned drivers like Sebastien Bourdais, Pipo Derani, and Felipe Nasr, who are vying for supremacy in their sleek machines.

GTD PRO and GTD

The GTD PRO and GTD classes showcase GT-style cars, each with its unique blend of power and elegance. Expect fierce battles between teams representing top manufacturers.
