It was a quiet moment in 2009...

I was deep in the Paddock at the Monterey Historics.  It was an odd quiet moment in an otherwise chaotic area.  I was lusting over one of Bruce Canepa's mind-bending specimens when I turned around to take yet another look at the Gulf Oil liveried Porsche 917K a few stalls back.  As it turns out, I wasn't the only one looking at it.  The gentleman in this picture is Chad McQueen, son of Steve McQueen.  If you need to know why this man looking at this car is significant, you need to have your gearhead card revoked until you watch the 1971 film Le Mans and say about 50 Hail Marys.
